Retail Media Group Inc. hires Kevin Golding as National Sales Director

Calgary, AB – RMG is pleased to announce that Kevin Golding has joined our team as National Sales Director for Retail Media, the Advertising Division focused on selling ad space in over 650 grocery stores across the country.  Based in Toronto, Kevin is responsible for leading and directing the advertising sales team across the country.

“We are excited to have Kevin join our team,” say Claudio Rodrigues, CEO of RMG.  “He is an experienced media sales leader, with proven strategic insight, planning and people management skills”.

Kevin has worked as a Sales Manager at DAN (Digital Advertising Network), as VP Sales at Eucan Outdoor, and as General Sales Manager at Pattison in charge of their Place Based Media division.  He has also taught Media Sales as a professor at Humber College and started his own sales consulting business.

Retail Media Group Inc. launching E-Ink on AdBars in partnership with Shaw Media.

Toronto, ON – Retail Media Group (RMG) is pleased to be introducing an exciting interactive format to their long-standing AdBarTM advertising product.   What is an AdBar? You may not know it by name, but chances are you’ve used it hundreds of times, and picked one up in the grocery store on your last visit.  For the past 10 years, AdBar has delivered advertising messages while separating grocery orders on your local grocery checkout conveyor belt.  For advertisers, AdBar offers an innovative solution that delivers over 90 million impressions every four weeks.

Today, in partnership with Shaw Media, a new format of the AdBarTM will hit the checkout lanes in a number of grocery stores throughout the GTA.  The underlying technology is called E-ink, or animated ink, and it creates animated messages on paper using an eye popping colour graphic display.  The E-ink AdBar format is being used to promote Shaw’s fall TV line-up.  The AdBars will feature programs aired on Global and will flash the words “NEW” to call attention to the shows.

“We are delighted to debut this format with Shaw, a long-term client of Retail Media,” said Claudio Rodrigues, President of RMG.  “The Marketing team at Shaw is always leading the way on innovative ways to reach today’s audience, and we are thrilled to have been able to work with them on pushing creative delivery to new limits.”

AdBarTM has evolved from its standard launch format to include Die-Cut, Lenticular and Mobile/QR Code formats.  E-Ink is the latest innovation for this product, turning paper into moving images.
